Walker had the pleasure working alongside client Glen Dimplex in the development of a their new website and brand for their Real Value project. Glen Dimplex lead the dissemination and exploitation for the ‘RealValue’ project and sought a range of communication tools to help activate the project deliverables. In short, the project involves installing and trialling thousands of Glen Dimplex quantum smart electric thermal storage systems into 1250 homes in Ireland, Germany and Latvia. It is the first large testing of this game changing new model for renewable energy storage and one that is intended to be a catalyst for change across the EU.
The ‘RealValue’website constitutes one of the main communication channels within the projects dissemination and exploitation plan for our client. As well as providing external visibility and general information on project goals, work progress and consortium partners the website is also used to share information produced throughout the project. Through development of social media channels such as Twitter and YouTube the client are able to share updates and gain feedback from various audiences.
Since the launch of the website in October 2015 the site has received over 8K visits with over 55% new visitor views in the first year. Since the launch of the social media pages twitter has gained over 150K impressions across Germany, Latvia and Ireland. The RealValue Project Launch took place on 09th December 2015 in Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland. The event attracted approximately 200 participants including all project partners.
