The roll out of the Covid vaccination and easing of restrictions has allowed the Walker team to get back into some sort of normality. But what are we looking forward to and enjoying the most?

I’m looking forward to finally getting the chance to wear all my lockdown purchases, but I will miss seeing my postman on a daily basis. Total lies obviously, I haven’t bought a stitch!!

Great to feel some sort of normal back, talking, conversing, laughing, slagging and just having the craic again. A slowly poured pint of Guinness in a bar, no widgets, gimmicks, surgers or jewellery cleaners.

I am loving the fact that we can dine in again in restaurants and enjoy a good catch up with friends. Who doesn’t love some great food and cocktails?

Being able to enjoy a cheeky martini - inside or outside (oooh the choice!) Hopefully the parks, forests and mountains will not be as busy now that places have reopened. Not seeing my Hermes driver every day now that shops are open again.

I joined the Walker team in February and worked from home for the first 3 months, so it is great to finally join my co-workers in the office and have a good laugh every day. I’ve also been able to move into a new flat so it’s very exciting seeing all the Pinterest boards I made during lockdown come to life.

I’m really enjoying wedding suppliers opening up again so that I can prepare for our wedding in October. We got our wedding cake samples a couple of weeks ago and our engagement photos done last week, so we’re looking forward to doing a lot more of the fun tasks before the stressful part hits. I’m really looking forward to seeing all of our families and friends on our wedding day because we haven’t seen everyone together in one place for so long.

Quality Coffee Shop time with a good magazine (if somebody would look after the kids for me), a trip to the cinema to see something that I’d like to see (if somebody would look after the kids for me) and a holiday to France would me nice (if somebody would look after the kids for me).

I’m loving having differentiation in my days again with loads of different things to do rather than everyday feeling the exact same! Also sitting in coffee shops and restaurants again is fab!

People not giving me a death stare when I am out running. Being able to train with other people and a selfish one but parks etc. being a little less busy as people abandon their newfound love of the outdoors and head for the pub!!!

Freedom and social interaction whether in work or socialising in a coffee shop or bar. Also getting spectators back to sport. Watching sport on television with no atmosphere was terrible but better than nothing at the time. Not seeing wife all day every day. Part joking; probably same for her.

I have enjoyed getting back out for food with friends, even outside on a sunny day. I have also enjoyed seeing my daughter get back to her classes and sports with friends.
