Graduate Internship

I was thrilled to secure this internship opportunity in such a reputable company and I knew Walker would be a great fit for me to gain experience with their remarkable work, portfolio of clients, office aura and of course the unlimited cups of tea...The team were so welcoming and I quickly felt part of the Walker family.

With the support of my colleagues, I was able to dive in and instantly get involved with the responsibility of managing the social media marketing for various shopping centre clients. During my internship I have developed knowledge and understanding of social media marketing best practices including developing strategy and content ideas and I have become proficient in social media management tools to optimise reach and engagement with customers as well as analysing online performance.

Graduate Internship

My time at Walker has allowed me to learn new skills and gain invaluable experience to kick-start my career in marketing. It is great to be a part of the fast-paced and hard-working environment of a marketing agency, communicating and building relationships with clients and colleagues to achieve objectives together. I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from my colleagues’ experiences.

While Walker work hard they don’t forget to play hard having a great work-life balance. I had the pleasure of joining them for their Christmas party. Yes, it was indeed in March due to a covid delay – but they could never miss an opportunity for a Walker night out! The genuine camaraderie in the office creates a lovely, friendly environment where no question is a stupid question unless it’s ‘who fancies a donut?!’.

I’m really looking forward to using the skills, confidence and relationships I developed.

I am very grateful for the time, effort and kindness that Walker staff have willingly shared with me. I’m really looking forward to using the skills, confidence and relationships I developed in Walker Communications throughout my future, to prosper in my career in marketing.
