Christmas Campaign 2011
Walker Communications ran an integrated above-the-line and digital campaign for Letterkenny Retail Park in the run up to Christmas 2011.
Building momentum from November 2011, local press, outdoor, radio (ads and competitions) and ambient posters were used to promote the key message of ‘Letterkenny Retail Park the spot to shop’. Underpinning this campaign was a strategic Facebook campaign running over a 4 week period with lots of prizes on offer. What made this campaign different, was the viral effect that it had on the campaign. Using a voting system, users were encouraged each week to upload a funny story about their best/worst Christmas present, best Christmas joke etc. The user then encouraged their friends to vote for them as the top 6 every week won a prize.
